Graduate
students in Performance Studies choose course work from a broad list of
Performance Studies classes and from other department areas such as rhetoric,
instructional communication, and organizational communication. Additional
courses may be taken outside the department in gender studies, theatre,
creative writing, sociology and anthropology. In addition to curricular
opportunities, students participate in the UNI Interpreters Theatre productions,
Half Masted 3.2,
and SAVE
Forum Actors.
Courses
We offer a number of graduate courses in Performance Studies within our department. Students may also take hours outside the department in areas such as Women's Studies, English, Theatre, Sociology, Anthropology. For a list of the courses within the department, click here: Course List.
Assistantships
Students with Performance Studies assistantships work primarily with the Interpreters Theatre program in general publicity assistance and/or technical assistance for specific productions.
