Communication Student Association (CSA)
The CSA offers students the opportunity to meet professionals to learn about the field of communication. Activities include career exploration, community service, workshops, speakers, conferences and social events. The personal and professional relationships built through CSA prepare students for leadership roles upon graduation.
Communication Graduate Student Organization (CGSA)
The CGSA is dedicated to the needs of graduate students in the communication studies program. The organization provides student/faculty networking and opportunities for research and internships.
Cedar River Productions
Cedar River Productions (CRP) is a student run video/audio/multimedia production company. Students gain hands-on experience while building their portfolios by producing projects from public service announcements to game shows. CRP also sponsors guest speakers and field trips.
Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
PRSSA is the world's pre-eminent, pre-professional public relations organization. Its purpose is to cultivate a relationship between students and public relations professionals while encouraging students to adhere to the highest ideals and principles of the practice of public relations.
Interpreters Theatre
This performance group develops original scripts created from ethnographies, oral histories and various literary genres. Past topics include eating disorders, children's literature, farm families and romance novel readers. Students from throughout campus participate in production.
SAVE Forum
UNI Students Against a Violent Environment Forum Actors.
UNI Forensics
UNI Forensics, one of the oldest student organizations on campus, offers students the opportunity to compete extensively in Individual Events and Debate. Participation in debate consists of two teams discussing the pros and cons of a selected topic. Individual events activities provide students with a variety of speaking experiences, including interpretation, public address, impromptu and extemporaneous speaking.
